Atlatl Throwing Contest

Students of Wilderness Adventures a part of Terrasonga Earth music Programs had the opportunity this spring to make their own Atlatl, a primitive hunting weapon used many years ago during the paleolithic era as well as more recently here in North America.

Water Insect Exploration

Terrasonga was joined by a biologist with Ducks Unlimited today as he instructed the kids on the types of insects to be found in the water. Whirligig beetles, assasin bug, dragonfly larvae these were a few of the insects we found. Check it out in the photos below

Bird Outing One Fine Saturday

One fine Saturday in spring Terrasonga Earth Music Programs sponsored a bird/tracking and edible plant hike at the local Bird Sanctuary in Amherst, NS. We watched a Bald Eagle pair on their nest, held chickadees in our hands, tracked deer , ate some cattails and spruce buds and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. A lot of fun on a beautiful day.
